Jeffrey Niemann, born 1985 in the beachside suburb of Chelsea, south of Melbourne, took some time to get into the writing groove. Home schooled throughout his high school education, he was unable to complete his studies due to failing health, and ultimately this illness, pulmonary hypertension, would require a double lung transplant that would totally change his perspective on life.
Niemann specializes in the short story and such themes as depression, guilt, loneliness, and anxiety. He one day dreams of writing a novel in a similar vein to the Japanese I-novel.
Living most of his life in Melbourne, he credits a recent move up north to Bendigo which has rekindled his passion for writing and life as a whole.
